Supervision and Control Software - Vision SAGE
Reivax´s Vision SAGE, the digital system of supervision and control for medium and large hydroelectric power plants, is connected to the acquisition and control unit´s CPX, and incorporates an innovative technology that integrates automation and control devices in a flexible, modular, scalable and distributed architecture. This new technology makes it possible to automate a generation plant in the most economical and safe manner, using fewer components and therefore increasing its reliability.
Vision SAGE is based on distributed and redundant architecture. Several computers can be connected via a local network, ensuring the expansion of computational resources. The physical configuration of the network is transparent, allowing the use of various network technologies such as Ethernet, FDDI / CDDI, ATM, etc. The distributed environment may be composed of a wide variety of equipment since PC microcomputers to large size computers, passing by workstations and RISC servers, which can even originate from different manufacturers. The use of redundant configurations, and sophisticated control software ensures high reliability and availability, besides easy maintenance. The SAGE software architecture is modular, supported by various versions of UNIX, in accordance with the level XPG4, Base Profile of X / OPEN. The TCP / IP are used for communication in local network. Various modules and subsystems are used to compose three distinct environments. |
